A/N: → I was feeling a tad melancholy—my eldest daughter was supposed to be coming to visit as a combined birthday/Mother’s Day thing but unfortunately the plans have fallen through. So my brain came up with this—kinda wish I had my own Derek to wrap me in his arms and make me feel a little better. Title is taken from the Bon Jovi song ‘I’ll Be There for You’ which is one of my emo whining songs and seemed appropriate.
