I think no longer limiting it to one-shots would open it up so more people can take part. Also, I am going to say nay on the polls, while it would be great I don't think they work fairly at this comm. Since all fandoms are accepted there is no guarantee that all fics will be read, I know personally I only read a few authors fics here and that is for fandom's I know.
