And we're back....

Yep, once again, this is a weekly challenge. For all the newbies, remember to get you post in with a timestamp of Saturday (or earlier), I put up the new challenge Sunday morning when I wake up (although being on the west coast of the U.S., that means Sunday afternoon for many of you).

This week I will definitely have to do something separate for the prompt because this is SO not going to fit into the ending of my Out of Tune series....

Crabapple

I'm hyperventilating here!

Are crabapple trees indigenous to the UK? Please...

Wikipedia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Crabapple) claims they're found in Europe. A park in London? Maybe? Oh God, I'm panicking here...

Once more a word I don't recognise. I guess I have to consult my faithful friend Wikipedia. *g* I'm guessing this will be interesting...

Ho boy. Astra's contemplating it, but she's insisting that you give her a sexier prompt next time. ~_^

I'll work on it!

Um, wow. I have like not much ideas for that one. I think it'll have to be Seven or Runaway. MH won't fit that. Guess I'm going to have to get off my lazy ass and update this week.

Seriously... crabapple?

Nah, it's okay. I'm starting to get just the inkling of a seed of what might someday become an idea. Of course, knowing me (and my muse) it'll probably be Sat. before I sit down to write the thing, and I'll be 5 ideas down the line by then.

Ooh, I just decided how I'm going to use this prompt. Thank you so much for linking me straight to Wiki, hon!

Happy to help. You'll probably manage the job far better than I am!

Hah! I dunno. I used to do prompts all the time, but right now, I can't help but think I'm a little rusty. All I can say is that I'm glad that I'm working on two WIPs, cause the idea I have just wouldn't fit with the way I've established my characters in yesterday's fic.

newbie to the comm and the first prompt I get is 'crabapple'? Funny thing is, there's a crabapple tree on the front lawn of my apartment building. Absolutely beautiful in the spring, but messy in the last summer

If its any help - it's said that apples were introduced to Britain by the Romans. And they wouldn't have had Cox's Orange Pippins in those days.... A bit of history for your histories?

Oh, evil woman! Actually giving me Romano-British history. *scowls* I'm likely to just work a damned crabapple tree in there somehow. This is not at what I had in mind!

You're either very good for the expansion of my vocabulary or Wikipedia's paying you something :P

I'm totally lost by this prompt. Hopefully, Wikipedia will have something sensible to say about this word... *grumbles, harrumphs, gets to work*

Happy new year, boss! :]

Oh yeah, welcome to the wacky and weird world of [livejournal.com profile] tamingthemuse. The first prompt I had was "Weregeld" and that took me in a totally strange direction.

Have fun, you'll think of something
