Summary: A string of meetings brings Declan no closer to making up his mind.

A/N: Follows Crabapple from last week. This post is completely unbeta’ed. Apologies for any dropped words (my most frequent goof) or typos. First day of class for the spring semester is tomorrow, and I’ve syllabi to photocopy and first day housekeeping notes to prepare, etc. If I didn’t go ahead and post this, it might not have gotten done. At week, what? 25???, I was loathe to let that happen. As it is, this piece did not turn out the way I had planned, particularly the final scene. I’ll be interested in the feedback to see if it works or if anyone’s surprised, etc.
A/N2: Huge apologies on my part for a forgotten mention last week. I encountered language difficulties (again and with my own native language no less *grins*) as I tried to reclothe Declan in Savage. Many, many thanks to thismaz for her patient and ever gracious help in supplying me with the proper British terminology for – of all things – sweat pants. I still overlooked a couple of items in my hurry to get posted prior to leaving on a trip. Declan should not have left himself in his ‘undies,’ and he should have taken the time to unbutton his cuffs… those errors are mine alone.
