Title : Aimée the Kleptomaniac
Fandom : None. Original.
Prompt : #25: Kleptomaniac
Warnings : If you have anything against vampires, not for you. Just mentions of vamps and some blood. Not much else.
Rating : G
Summary : Aimée gets caught shoplifting, and who else can she call but Olivier D'Argent.
A/N : This might not be the great idea to do but when I read that prompt all I could think about was a character from one of my stories (North, which has not yet been posted online.) which I had already written another short thing about. If someone would like to know what happened in the kitchen that they mention I have that story here : Aimée.
I kinda saw Sarah Shahi as Aimée and Vincent Perez as Olivier D'Argent (Cause I found some pics of him from this french movie called Fanfan La Tulipe, remake but he looks soo heh, mischievous in it).
This is my first time posting here and I'm just hoping i can get to that first award, the three weeks one. :) English is not my first language, but I use it more than my own language which is Icelandic. Heh.
It's un-beta-ed but I've many times done spell-checking using a few different places, so I'm hoping there are no glaring errors. The banner is made by me, but I the pic of him is from the movie I mentioned above and the pic of her is from The L Word promo, not sure where gotten. I Googled them Background is from here : raptured-lights.com. :)

"How long as this been going on, Aimée?" Olivier asked me, as he came to pick me up at the police station where I had been held after I got caught shoplifting some earrings. They were just really pretty and I didn't have any money on me. I had just been in the neighborhood, dropping some borrowed clothes off to a friend of mine. Yes, I do have a life outside of the real world.
Things between me and Olivier have been a bit stiff ever since Simon found out about us. I just wanted to be more careful, but he just wanted to stop it completely...at least for the time being. We have been having this strange fling between us every time he comes to France and stays at home since I was 17. I hope this isn't the end, because I feel he's the only one who I can totally be myself with.
Who else is going to make me a hot cup of blood? Aurore and Simon don't understand why, since I'm the farthest thing from a vampire. No one understands it, and it's hard to act at all like a normal 22 year old girl when the real world is just not all about happiness and yummy pink cotton candy.
"Not long." He looked at me as I said that, with that stare (his eyes glowing blue) he always uses when he's annoyed at me and I feel could drill into my head and out the back. "What? It's not like we can talk about here. People can hear you. Let's just get out of here." I told him, as I grabbed his jacket clad arm and dragged him out of the station. I noticed he was wearing what I had once told him was my favorite of all his jackets (not that he owns that many), maybe it was my favorite because it made him look all sweat and hot at the same time which is not an easy task.
"Aimée, why shouldn't I just tell your father or Simon. Why should I hide something like this?" Olivier asked me, as we got into his car and I turned on the radio straight away to find something good to listen to. I love good music, and being in a cell for a few hours with nothing but silence and the noise from somewhere down the hallway that sounded a lot like someone was having a fight really leaves you yearning for some good old fashioned music.
"Oh, come on, Ollie. It was my night off and Simon does not have to hear about this. So, I slipped. One time, I just really wanted them and I was impatient, you know how I can get. I've never been caught before. And just so you know, I blame you for this." I told him, as I sank down into the comfy front passenger seat and pouted to the best of my ability. He can never stay angry at me for long when I do this and I take full advantage of it.
"So, this is not the first time you've done something like this? Are you a kleptomaniac? And how do you figure out this being my fault?" He asked me, as he looked from the road and to where I was sitting. I just grinned at him, my good mood back. He was so much fun to tease and it's not like he needed to keep his eyes on the road for his sake since only decapitation would work on killing him. But then, it's much easier to get me killed and if he gets me killed his Sire and my dad are going to be beyond pissed.
"Keep your eyes on the road, mister. I want to get home in one piece. How should I know if I'm a klepto-whatever, I just do it sometimes and the reason I blame you is because I was being careless since I was thinking back to when Simon and Aurore caught us in the kitchen. That was...awkward. But fun, total adrenaline rush to see you two fight." I told him, and grinned at him my best grin. It hadn't been much fun for him though, since he had taken most of the heat while I just sat there with Aurore watching him and Simon fight.
"Are you still thinking about that? That was a week ago, and Simon has still not let me forget that in his eyes I have defiled you and I am a bad person." Bad person? What vampire isn't, or wasn't once upon a time? Simon's just a little over-protective off me. He can't help his big brother tendency (even if he's the farthest thing from being my big brother). It’s what brothers do, they protect you even if you don't want to be protected.
"Please, are you afraid of Simon? Like he would ever seriously hurt you, unless I would ask him to." I told him, as I rolled my eyes and then smirked at him from where I was sitting and rooting around through his glove compartment. Apparently him being a vampire doesn't change the fact that there's nothing interesting in his glove compartment either.
"Who isn't afraid of him? You have no idea what he is capable of, he protects you from all of that." Olivier told me, and I believed him. I knew that he wasn't this old and rich because he was all sunshine and puppies. There were things I was witness to without anyone knowing I was there, so it's not like I'm being naive here. I just know that Simon would never hurt Olivier without a very good damn reason.
"Oh, please. Let's just drop it. We're here already." I told him, as he stopped in front of the house I lived in/worked at and he lived in from time to time. He went to park the car in the garage behind the house and I took my time walking up to the door. Wondering if he would walk in with me or use the backdoor. He had keys, but I realized I had forgotten mine as I rummaged around in my bag. Damn it. I would have to ring the bell, and either Simon or my father would come to the door since I was really not at all in the right footwear to trek to the back of the house for the backdoor.
I guess he went in the backdoor because I waited 10 minutes and he didn't show up, so I rang the doorbell and my Dad comes to the doors dressed in his work clothes. What else is there to expect, since he's like the freaking butler in this house and has been since before I was born. He'll be working here until he dies, I will probably too. But sometimes I understand why my mom went away, this is a crazy place to live at sometimes and nobody notices the help, so the things I have seen from Simon's guests...Let's not even go there.
I do hope that Olivier isn't to pissed at me, and keeps his mouth shut. I might have a small problem, but it's nothing to alert my dad or Simon to. I sat down and took my heels off, feels so good to be rid of them. Now just to find Olivier and ask him again...nicely to not tell Simon or my Dad.

The End...Of this ficlet, anyways.
