Title: Guidelines, Power Play (Previous Parts HERE)
Fandom: Sentinel
Prompt: Hovel
Rating: PG-13 for language
Summary: I was having trouble with my Guidelines story, and yesterday it came to me that "hovel" would nicely connect the section I posted last week to a bit I already had written. So, here are Jim and Blair staking out a hovel...

Very well written story (even though I am utterly unfamiliar with canon for this series). I can completely follow the issues of power struggle and feel for the characters and their individual plights. I really enjoyed reading this!

Only one suggestion... I would probably rate this as PG-13 for the language. I went back to the summary to double check after reading the story (because I mis-remembered and thought you'd listed it as G, but with all the (admittedly appropriate and well placed) usage of the work fuck and its derivatives, I'd go P-13.

Well done!

I forgot to add (sorry!) that I especially love this line:

Charlie looked like a beaten dog about ready to run for the hills.

I'm a sucker for a good turn of phrase in any story, and this one really struck me.
