I was really enjoying this, up until you called Buddha a god. It really threw me out of the story and distracted me. I'm sorry, but I'm studying asian art this semester and one thing my professor emphasized was that Buddha wasn't a god, he was a monk who inspired a new religion, but he wasn't a god. I'm not saying you have to change that, but it might throw people out of the story. :-\
