Hi, I google the saying and I think it's A decade Late and a Dollar Short. I'm not sure if that really matters or not though

Some of the sayings aren't quite right. If you go back through the tags you'll notice quite a few that are twisted. That's part of the fun of writing them. Remember, it's open to interpretation, do with it what you are inspired to do.
