Concrit is, as always, invaluable. Also, this isn't what you might think it is. I am playing with characters, but I'm not at the same time. Does it make sense?

It will once you've read it, I promise. At the end of my story is the story it was derived from.

A/N: Wow. Another verbose week. This week (along with last) is one of those wonky pieces of writing that won't ever end up in canon for Coadeyder, since the book is written in 1st person POV (Declan O'Leary). Having said that, any/all of these things could happen just this way, and we simply wouldn't know it. The benefit to me as the writer for doing this particular piece is it provides wonderful character development for Hadrian. I know him far better after having written this than I could have dreamed possible (and a 'right bastard' he is, as meredevachon so aptly noted after her fantastic - per usual - beta, thanks as always). The downside to writing this piece is that now I'm compelled to finish it... to post here what happens to Lachie Munro, and well, that's a big part of the novel. {sigh}

Two weeks ago, I said there was nothing redeeming about the character of Aisling. Well, writing Hadrian Welles was probably the second most disturbing experience I've had as a writer (second only to a domestic violence scene). I'm glad to have the writing of him behind me. Even so, I do hope the reading of him is enjoyable. As always, feedback is most welcome and appreciated.
