When last we saw our heroes, Spike was pissed (in both meanings of the word) and he attacked Xander for daring to be the man Buffy turned to for emotional support.  Xander speed dialed Buffy's house thinking that his daughter was in danger only to have Tara pick up the phone and listen in on the fight.  Tara showed up and basically made the boys play nice.  Now we have the morning after.
