Prompt Post

Morning!

Well, as tempted as I was to just make the prompt "wake up" or something that worked with my WIP, I spun the randomizer, stared at it, cursed, and then accepted that the universe hates me.

Argos
I really was on crack when I plugged words into that thing.

Well, shit. *g*

From wikipedia:
  1. Argos is a city in Greece in the Peloponnese near Nafplio, which was its historic harbor, named for Nauplius.

  2. The name is pre-Greek ("Pelasgian"), as is the name of its acropolis, Larissa[citation needed]. Aitiology derives it from a mythological founder, Argos son of Zeus and Niobe (see also Danaus).

Here's the link (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Argos) for the article.

Argo was the ship Jason sailed. I am so screwed with this. *wanders off to ponder and wrangle with the muse*

Apologies for the double post. Couldn't get the coding right. *g*

It's also the name of Odysseus' dog, the one who dies the day he comes home after a single happy thump of its tail. That's really depressing.

Unbelievably, that works for me. *bows at the altar of lit_gal*

I have complete faith in your ability to make it work. If anyone can, you can. *g*

You could always have a character make the same mistake you did and have another one correct them... :)

Thanks... I realized after I typed it that my suggestion completely lacked tact--I hope I haven't offended you :)

Good to remember! Oh, I figured that it was all well and good for a person to label their own statement a 'mistake' but quite another for someone they'd never talked with before to do so. I try not to make that sort of first impression!

Glad to see that instead, I'm just being my normal, overanalyzing self. I can live with that :)
