Summary: Liander is having an Halloween party. The theme is Greek mythology. Anna and Agathe are getting ready to go.

It was the night of Halloween. All was dark outside and the night crowd was slowly chasing away the day crowd.

In a small village in the heart of France, Agathe and Anna were getting ready for a small party their friend Liander was organising. There would be all of the neighbouring village younger people attending.

Anna was looking at her reflection in the dressing room mirror and sighed.

"Remind me again why we have to dress like this," she shouted to Agathe who was still in the bathroom.

"It's Halloween."

"I know that honey. But why Greek mythology of all possible themes?"

"It was Liander's idea not mine."

"I know but still... Greek mythology," she repeated doubtful. "Isn't that... a bit too much?"

"No. I think it's a great idea," replied Agathe as she popped her head in the dressing room. "Besides I think we look great like this."

"You just like to see me in a dress," joked Anna.

"Possibly," answered Agathe teasingly. She stepped in the room and placed her arms around Anna, pressing her body against Anna's back. She looked at her through the mirror. "I think it's only fair we have a bit of fun at their expenses," she added pointing to their figure in the mirror. "They've made us suffer enough as it is." She paused. "Anyway, they've been long forgotten, they don't have any powers on us anymore, so we might as well enjoy this and celebrate it," she finished more gaily.

"I guess," mumbled Agathe non-convincingly.

"Plus you look good as Athena, and look at me!" She twirled, making her toga fly around her in circle. "Don't I look good as Pallas?"

"Yes, yes you do," laughed Anna.

Agathe smiled at her before kissing her lightly on the lips.

"Hurry up, we're going to be late." With those words she left the dressing room and started to make her way downstairs. "I heard Liander was going as Zeus. That's something you don't want to miss," she added as she reached the steps.

Agathe laughed. Liander as Zeus sounded preposterous. He was really having a go at the Greek gods. She guessed it was about time they had a bit of fun at their expenses. They had been trapped in their curse for so long, they deserved to let go of their fear towards those gods and enjoy their life more while it was still so good. Besides, she knew Agathe was right. They had been long forgotten and even if they could feel offended by this party, there was nothing they could do to them any longer. At this thought Anna smiled. Maybe this could even be the last of their lives. Maybe the power that held their curse together would evaporate as the ancient powers of the Greek gods did.

"Maybe...," she whispered hopefully as she pinned a small amber owl on her dress.

She went switch the light off and made her way downstairs to join Agathe, a faint hopeful smile on her face.<\lj-cut>
