Prompt #393 Overwhelmed
Disclaimer : I don't own anything
A/N : it's the (short) beginnining of a longer story, that I have researched over the week, and so didn't had much time to write.

Whatever happened in the shady corners of Beacon Hills, school wasn't optional, even when you already had your plate full with into-the-wild serial killers, electrical foxy new girls, and firefly/ninja/shadow guys. Neither the said serial killer heading up for the high school building, nor three members of the the teaching force being either murdered or missing had been able to prevent Beacon Hills High School from keeping its doors open.

"Have you seen Stiles?", Scott asked Allison, as he came leaning against the locker next to hers.

The girl shook her head and took her chemistry textbook for her first class. "No, not since yesterday ... Why? Is there a problem ?"

Scott frowned, then sighed. "I don't know. He doesn't answer his phone, or my texts since he left the party. I thought he would at least react at what happened at the loft, but nothing. I'm pretty sure he got my messages, though."

It wasn't like Stiles to just ignore Scott like that, especially when it came to supernatural happenstance like what they had witnessed the day before. The werewolf had expected his best friend to come up with some kind of theory about the shadow ninjas that had attacked them, or the strange mark they had left on Lydia, Isaac, Derek and the twins. Stiles should have at least make a comment about Derek being back without telling anyone.

Nobody knew where the human had gone after he had disappeared with the girl that had kissed him. With all the things happening in Beacon Hills recently, Scott was worried of what could have occured to Stiles. He could only hope that the fact the Sheriff hadn't showed up to ask him where his son was meant that he had just gone home and was too tired to answer.

"Time to go in class, you all !", Coach's voice called out from down the corridor, amplificated by the bullhorn he had hardly left since the beginning of the power outage.

Allison gave Scott a reassuring smile. "Let's see if he's come to school today. Maybe it's nothing. Maybe he just got tired after the party, and he's only seeing your texts now." She closed her locker, trying to look as she was confident in what she had just said, and, nodding a last time to the boy, left for her lesson. Scott sighed again, and left for his own locker, where his own textbook was still locked.

He was opening the storing place as fast as he could when something, he couldn't exactly pinpoint what, tickled his wolf senses. He turned around, trying to find the origin of the sensation among the flocks of student coming up and down the corridor to reach their classes, but he couldn't see anything out of the ordinary. For a moment, he thought that maybe he was reacting to Kira's power, whatever it was, but dissmissed the explanation, since it had been there all along and he had never felt anything like this before. Beside, she was nowhere to be seen.
