The image of a sleep rumpled Spike leaning against the door frame is so pretty. Interesting that all Spike's overnight reassurances and brooding are interpreted by Xander as Spike being clingy. That boy has some backbone and some pride, which is good to see. So Spike had better come up with more than promises and reassurances, although that was certainly a good start *g* Nice to see more of this, thanks.
