Title: Chipper
Rating:Pg
Summary:When Sharon finds out that her husband has been unfaithful she decides to get her revenge.
Author's Note: Amusingly, the idea for this story came the other night. A friend of mine was trying to calm me down after a fight and kept calling me chipper. I blame him. heh. As always, if you read please comment I need all the feedback that I can get. ^-^
She couldn't believe he'd done this. twelve years, twelve years! Sharon had been married tp John. They'd met in high school and played the whole game out. He'd been on the football team, and she had been a drama geek.
Three years of dating, and then they'd gotten married. They had two children, Adria and Ellen. Twins, the both of them 7 years old and too smart for their own good. They had a house, and both of them led successful careers. They were living the american dream. At least, that it until Sharon had found out about this.
John was having an affair. Sharon was beyond furious. She worked hard to keep her marriage and their home together. She lived for her family. And now, her husband, the man who was supposed to stay by here until death did they part was having an affair.
Sharon, wasn't old. She was 33, and looked years younger than that. Dark hair that fell past her shoulders framed bright blue eyes and an easy smile. She had never been a wife to gain weight after childbirth or when times were thick. She had done everything for him. And this was how he repaid her. By lying to her, and cheating on her with some woman from the office. And not even someone attractive! Vivette-the woman John was probably currently banging in his office-had lank hair and bad teeth.
One eye twitching from the force of emotion, Sharon decided to take drastic measures. He was going to pay, she was going to make him pay.
--------
Mia parked her car, and stepped out onto the driveway wondering where Sharon was. Mia was a smaller red haired version of her friend. They'd known each other for years, and she didn't live far away. So she'd come right over when Sharon had called her at home, told her about John and explained that she needed some company. So here Mia was, and Sharon it seemed, was no where in sight.
Curious she walked up to the door. She knocked, and when no one answered, slowly opened the door and entered the house.
"Hello? Sharon? ...Is anybody home?" There was no answer forthcoming, but Mia could hear the motor of something running in the backyard. Walking tenatively through the quiet house, Mia tried not to feel like an intruder. After passing through the entryway, living room, and the side of the kitchen, she reached the sliding glass doors that led to an ample backyard.
Back here the noise from whatever was running was much louder, and the noise only amplified when she opened the door and peeked her head out. Thankfully Sharon was right there. Also revealed was the source of all the noise, the family's small wood chipper.
"Sharon what are you doing back here?" Mia tried speaking regularly, but found that she nearly had to shout over the raucous noise the motor spewed out. Sharon turned smiling and replied quickly.
"Oh, I'm just getting rid of a few things I don't need anymore." When she finished speaking, she gestured to her right. There was a small pile of belongings there and Mia gasped when she saw they were all John's.
"Sharon have you lost it? Aren't those all bits and pieces of John's things?"
"Yep. Thats why I don't need them anymore." The dark haired woman flashed Mia a grin and picked up a wooden name plate, and began feeding it through the wood chipper. Mia watched, slack jawed as the chipper ate the name plate and spewed out chip into a multi colored pile that was nearly as high as her knee.
"I can't believe you're doing this!?" Through the shock MIa had to choke down the urge to laugh at the insanity of the situation. Sharon turned, her manic smile lifting as though she too was fighting the urge to laugh.
"It'll be fine. Just...suspend your disbelief." She giggled a bit to herself. "After all, Hell hath no wrath like a woman with a wood chipper."
