novin_ha. Happy birthday, darling! Even if it’s a little early ;) [The mottos are actual mottos of fraternities and sororities I found at Wikipedia, btw.]
Big thanks for
one_lill_witch who let me use her computer to write this.
Once upon a time on a semi-deserted island several maidens gathered to discuss the hardships of female life…

“And she says, ‘You gotta choose, honey: a cream-cake or an orgasm’,” Claire laughed. “And that’s how I lost ten pounds!”
Claire’s story was met with a chorus of feminine laughter. Said women, that is Claire, Shannon, Kate and Ana Lucia, were spending a blissful day sunbathing at the waterfall. Both Kate and Ana seemed a little uncomfortable by the very structure of Claire’s idea of a ‘girls&girls only’ day, obviously not exactly accustomed to it. The moment Claire and Shannon realized that, silent snickers passed between them.
“I learned to smoke on my diets,” Shannon gracefully moved from ‘belly-frying’ to ‘back-frying’. “Boone was furious when he found out, he just wasn’t sure if he hated my smoking or that that actually worked for me and not for him. He’s allergic to nicotine,” she snorted.
“When my mum sent me on a diet I learned to shoot,” Ana added, knowing exactly she’s just scored points as a Martyr For Universal Beauty. She knew at least that much about all the girly stuff. “What?” she added seeing three funny stares. “She made sure I relaxed productively when I was in the Academy and she made up one strict rule: no donuts for the recruits,” she smirked nastily. “Plus, it was fantastic for PMS.”
A collective murmur of understanding rose upon the women.
“Oh, yeah,” Kate perked up. “You’ve no idea how many scams I pulled when I was PMSing. There’s nothing to motivate you like the hatred towards the general male kind because they have no ovaries.”
“Whatever. Time to swim now!”
“Uhm… You did hear the part where I mentioned that Sawyer and I found two dead bodies on the bottom, didn’t you?”
Shannon laughed taking off her tiny bra. “You heard the convict, ladies. No peeing on the cementery!” And she jumped in.
“Well, if she put it that way.” Kate lost her objections and followed Shannon’s lead, only skipping taking off the bra.
Ana, who for a change wasn’t wearing jeans and her ever present black top, rolled over and got up. “Claire, you coming?”
“Sure thing. But don’t take that bra off,” she added, smiling.
“Wasn’t gonna. Why?”
“Because Boone’s been watching us for the last five minutes.”
“And Shannon knows that.”
“Yup.”
“And wants to be the only one giving him a show.”
“Yup.”
“Jack and Sawyer both know we’re all here.”
“Oh, is that why Kate’s wearing a bra and not a top?”
“That would be it. Sawyer’s behind the bushes, to the right from Boone.”
“Can you see Jack?” Ana’s amused smile made her face look a lot younger, almost Claire’s age.
“Nope, but I’ll bet Shannon’s spotted him.”
“Well, what are we waiting for, than?”
The water was heavenly cool and two relieved sighs followed the loud splash.
“What took you so long?”
“Shannon, Ana’s wondering where Jack’s trying to hide.”
“Thanks, Buttercup, I can speak for myself. You seen him?”
“Third rock on the right of the waterfall. You’re welcome.”
“Hey, I was gonna say ‘thanks’.”
“Whatever, cop.” Shannon laughed and dived.
Half an hour later they dragged themselves out of the water to soak up in the sun some more. Quiet moment was interrupted by Claire’s giggle.
“I know! We should have something like a motto!”
“What?”
“Pff!”
“Like Semper fidelis?”
Claire laughed, “Hell no, like carpe diem or something.”
“Inspire the woman, impact the world?”
“Our hearts are united?”
“Surrounded by sisterhood?”
“Three great principles?”
“And what are those? Men, booze and coconuts forever?”
“Well, we've got no booze.”
“Yet. I heard someone’s making mango moonshine.”
“Oh, God, whoever it is, he has my blessing. Sawyer’s stuff is long gone.”
“And you know that how exactly?”
***
And in the company of innocent laughter and in the spirit of true female devotion, the maidens calmly exchanged thoughts and ideas.
