Summary: It’s been months of solitary, single-minded killing. Sam may be honing his hunting abilities, but his people skills are growing rusty. Missing scenes for “Mystery Spot.”
Author’s Note: Written for the ‘rusting’ prompt at Taming the Muse and my spn_25 table prompt #3, ‘ritual.’ This story started out as something completely different, then it morphed and grew and ate my Saturday. It’s different from my usual writing, so I’m definitely curious to see how it is received.

It’s all rusting, corroding away from lack of use. Soon it will flake away, perhaps for good.
