I saw you, you know, creeping around behind everyone’s backs. I could smell it on you, smell him on you, the need, the desperation, the arousal the excitement and a touch of fear making it all so intoxicating. You wanted to get caught with him, you wanted everyone to know but you didn’t want to tell them. And then you finally did get caught, but the next day it was as if no one remembered it. As if it had never happened. I could still smell him on you, every time your arms brushed against him, or he touched your shoulder you felt a little tingle and sent off a wave of arousal filled with confusion. Every time that wave hit the wolf his nostrils flared and his eyes darkened with a primal heat. It seemed that he didn’t remember anything either. Buffy and the watcher don’t see anything their eyes just skim over you.

I saw you, rediscovering everything that you felt during the past little while, before this loss of time. I saw the furtive glances, the brushing hands and the awkward pauses. It was entertaining watching the two of you jump apart whenever anyone else came into the room.

I saw your first kiss, or at least the first one you could remember. I smelt the confusion and the shock at the touch of the lips that seemed so familiar to you but so foreign at the same time. That kiss was followed by a few days of awkward pauses and stuttered greetings; the easy friendship between the two of you was just starting to return to normal when Buffy was rendered helpless. Fear overshadowed the need to keep things as they were. The adrenaline rush got to you and you found yourself in a broom closet groping at each other. I could smell you all the way outside of the school and you smelled so good.

It was completely by accident that you remembered what had happened before you were caught. Giles was cleaning out the library before the new watcher arrived when he found a black crystal. The wolf looked at him when he brought it out of the stacks he could smell the magic coming off it from the other end of the table. He sensed something bad about the crystal along with the scent of his witch, his eyes darkened, he practically leaped over the table and threw the crystal on the floor and stamped on it. The memories came back to everyone and you all turned to Willow and stared her down. She folded in on herself with tears in her eyes. You looked at Oz and reached out your hand to him. Oz took your hand and stepped over the crumpled form of his girlfriend.

After that night Giles started to see Willows magic use more clearly. He called a coven in England who were going to try and teach her responsible use of the magic that was now a part of her. You and Oz came out publicly and a school that accepts and blocks out the supernatural didn’t have a problem with a same sex couple, not when the quarterback of the football team was out according to him he was “so out of the closet his Grandmother was trying to set him up.”

It was just a chance that I caught you on your own tonight. You still had the sweet smell of someone who was untouched, I craved that, I wanted that for myself but I knew you would never come quietly so I had to offer some incentive for you. I brought your wolf in, luring with the sweet scent of your fear. The witch was an easy person to lure. I sent her a note from you asking for a meeting, she wanted to believe that you were looking for an explanation.

I called a friend of mine and called him a favour he met me in my crypt where I was keeping you and your wolf. When Willow showed up she leaned in the door and called your name before she was hit with the spell. “Xander” was the last word she would ever speak as her voice was taken from her. She was attempting to communicate with you when Oz looked over and remarked. “Nobody deserves mine, well... almost nobody.”

I hope you liked this. It was inspired by some amazing writings from calypso woodhaven I can’t remember the specific story.
