tamingthemusePreviously: Spike pulled out another smoke and lit it. He took a deep puff, as if to calm himself, and Xander saw Spike's hands were shaking. So he wasn't as cool as he pretended.
Spike lifted Xander so he could touch him, which was oddly comforting.
Xander forgot his earlier anger. He pushed himself into Spike's touch, worn out from fighting him for the moment.
"Good boy. So good," Spike praised.
