Looks like authoressnebula beat me here. Real Person fic is fine as long as you label it. We have all different kinds of readers here, so we just make sure that we warn people so we don't catch them with a squick. (like I won't read incest fic and I generally avoid real person, but since I don't know anyone in Nascar, I can just pretend they're characters). We also allow original fiction. And no sample is needed... we're an open community with the only rule being to meet the writing standards...

The prompt question got answered

The wip question got answered. A lot of times with WIP's, I just write enough to have either a problem solved or a new problem created. If you post a chapter, just give us links to the old chapters.

And you're more than welcome to ask as many questions as you like... we're a very laid back group around here!

Thank you both so much for the replies. I've gotten away from my writing some but I want to get back into it. I have too many unfinished series and more that want to be developed.

As for the NASCAR, you don't have to follow it to read my work, and they have definitely become *my* characters. *shrugs* I have a history in archiving Buffy fic and I guess I just see it as much the same way. I just base my characters on...the drivers. :)

Anyway, more then you probably wanted to know and I'll see if I can start to gather the muses again. RP has so destroyed my writing, but this comm definitely looks like a savor. ;)

You have no idea how much I love this comm. I tell people at my college about it and how awesome it is and if they love to write to come sign up on LJ just to do this. This is one of the best ideas EVER done. *hugs you to death*

Oh please... step away... step all over them. I don't spend as much time here as I would like, and knowing that you'll jump in and help a newbie makes me feel all the better. When you're new, you just want a welcoming face in a new comm., and you're a sweetie for doing the welcome here. God, if you want to offend me or step on my toes, you're going to have to work much MUCH harder.
