Your friendly second mod here. I've started arranging all the entries to memories and now I have a request for all of you. At the moment I'm thinking the following categories:

-all the prompt posts under one heading
-entries by a certain prompt
-entries by a certain author
-entries by fandom
-all the random mod-posts under one heading
-voting posts

Am I making any sense here? Do you think some important category is missing? Something else you want?

Also I'm making a kind request that you put something on the subject line when you post your entries so that I don't have to come up with the subject when putting the entry into the memories.

Any questions and ideas are welcome. I promise I won't bite unless you ask me to...

I feel the need to say this, because I seem to be the most predominant source of crossover fic.

Crossover is tough to categorize. On my journal, I enter it under the heading of each fandom involved, but I think that might be a bit too much here. I have some stories (already posted here) that involve up to four fandoms. I think it would be more practical to just put them all in a "Crossover" category and let the reader sort it out.

But, of course, I leave it to the mods to decide.

I've been wondering about the cross-overs but since I haven't come up with any yet I haven't had to make that decision. *g* What you are suggesting sounds good. Thanks!

I've been thinking about the cross-overs as well but since haven't come across any yet haven't had to make a decision about them *g* Will have to give it some thought. The option of having a separate heading for cross-overs sounds good. It would probably be the clearest option.

Your suggestion about some age limits sounds good. I could go with safe and adult.

Tags would also be a very quick and easy way to organise things. And some of those have been done for you already.

I've been tagging all the entries people have made for the prompts. Also the actual prompt posts and votings have been tagged.

How about a category for prompt posts? I know the prompts are listed down the side here, but if you are doing categories for other things?
Would you like us to put our own stories in memories, in future, in the same way we put the tags on? Or would you rather keep that job under the guardianship of one person?

I actually have a separate category for the prompt posts. I think it's a good idea too.

I think you need to have admin rights to the community to be able to add entries to the memories but thank you for offering.
