Tracking for Week 178: Mischievous

Hallo thar, fellow musers!  Its good to see you again.  Hope that mischievous snowstorm pounding the east coast isn't getting you down.  At least it won't be able to mess up Santa's sleigh ride this year!

Anyways, first up is a hearty welcome back to lordarfindale , whom has not been seen in many moons!  Yay for your return!

Alas though, a couple of awards that I must give out.  I hope these are just runs ending and you're not leaving us for good.  annysia earned the euterpe award (12 weeks), and both redspitfire and fuzziekit earned the melpomene awards for fifteen weeks of excellence.  One of you guys was just short of the next award at eighteen, so I hope this is what you were going for.

One more thing before we hit the pretties:  If you have any questions, we three mods of Orient are always happy to assist.

I won't be writing for a while because I'm preparing for a new job for which I'm moving on the other side of France, but I hope I'll be back before summer!

Sure. Is this same award all right or would you like the other euterpe award? I ask because there are two versions and I don't know if this is your second time getting one or not?

It's my first time getting the award and as I don't remember how is the other (I didn't find the post with all the awards listed (there is one, but only with one version per award)), this one will be good.

I'm also jealous of your chance to work in France. It sounds like a very romantic thing to do. I would love to do that in Italy or some romantic place like that.

I live in Brittany but will move to Haute Savoie next year for this new job.

(which will be like living in Los Angeles and moving to New York in comparison :D
Except that it's only 850 km (530 miles) away instead of 4400 km (2700 miles) ;) )

Except for a few times away for the holidays, this will be the first time I'll be going so far (and alone!). Plus I'll have to spend two months near Paris for my professional training and I'm very nervous and stressed at the idea of leaving like that >_>

I'll check with zippitgood but as redspitfire is her second writing journal just to collect awards I'd think she'd want it to read "zippitgood." Just thought I'd give you a heads up on that.

Thanks for double checking that for me! Sorry for the confusion, I deleted the post you mentioned because I ended up asking it with another on the "mod post." I'd forgotten about the mod post to comment to so when I remembered I deleted the other. Good deal on the counts. I guess you'll just be getting one from me this week. ;)

Hey there hun,

I made a post about the banners a little over a week ago but I never got a mod response on it. You can find it here:

Basically I have been collecting the awards and trying to get them for years so I can display them all on my profile. You can see them all here:

The thing is I want them all to look the same. I mean for 24 weeks, I'd like a banner that matches the rest. I'm guessing the original awards were made from photoshop files. I have photoshop and would be more than happy to make my own banner if necessary so they look the same. All I would need is the plain base. I'm not sure if you're the only mod around right now, but if I just had the base I believe I know what the font is. I've got a lot of experience in PS so I think I could work it.

Anyway, yes you were right, I do want catw00man on the banner. Please if you could forward on my request I'd really appreciate it. I've posted twice to the contact a mod post, but it maybe the holidays are keeping people busy.

*pokes head in* So, I hope I'm not being a giant brat right now...I didn't want to say anything at the time because I didn't want to trouble you, but since it seems like it's pretty easy to change this, I figure it's worth a shot :). I got the second award for my 12 week run a couple of weeks ago, only it was my first time earning the award and I kind of had been working towards that award because I thought it was particularly pretty. I didn't want to complain at the time because it's the same award and I'm just being picky, but would it not be too much of a hassle to ask for the first award with my username on it instead? It's totally okay if that's a hassle, but if it isn't, I'd really appreciate it ^_^ Thanks!

Totally just read this as I was doing the week's tracking....sure, I don't see how that would be a problem. Pretty chill around here and I'm a newb so it's good to know this stuff.
