Summary: H.G. Wells is being de-bronzed, re-awaken into our world.

H.G. Wells felt like she was loosing her balance and a second later she felt her body hit something hard before the surface shifted and she fell to the floor. She didn't know what was happening. She felt really stiffed but somehow she could feel her limbs, feel them moving. Moving? She tried to open her eyes but as soon as her eyelids uncovered her eyes she saw a brightness that blinded her and hurt her as if something was stabbing at her eyes. She shut them closed again in a fraction of a second. What was happening? She tried to speak, to ask a question but her throat was sore and hurting. Someone bent down close to her - she could feel hands on her shoulder - helping her into a sitting position. Those same hands brought a glass of water to her lips and slowly, very slowly she let the water pour down into her mouth, down her throat. H.G. felt the cold liquid invade her body and felt her strength come back to her. She felt the reality of her, the reality of her body and suddenly realized that she wasn't trapped anymore, that it wasn't only her and her mind. She had been de-bronzed.

She tried to speak again. A million questions racing through her mind but her throat was still too sore and only an incoherent grumble of sounds escaped her lips.

"Shhh... don't try to speak. Not yet. It's too soon. Your body needs time to re-adapt to the world."

H.G. nodded in agreement. She didn't know how long a time she had spent encaissed in the bronze but judging by the state of her body it had certainly been a long time, a very long time.

"I'm going to put a blanket on top of you to mask the light until you're fully reacquainted with the external environment. I'll help you to your feet and then we have to go out. Quick."

H.G. nodded again. She wanted to ask questions, to know what was happening and why they had to be quick. Were they not in the Warehouse? Were they not safe here? Unless... and her mind sped in motion, spiraling into a thousand hypothesis she didn't have time to think properly before new ones formed themselves into her brain. Her body might not be fully reacquainted with the world but her mind had never stopped. It had merely stumbled on the floor in surprise at feeling her body alive again, in motion again. But now it was back at racing in every direction, working as efficiently as ever.

She didn't know what was happening and in truth didn't really care at the moment. She was alive. She was de-bronzed in another time, another world, and her life was about to start again. The world awaited her and she was ready to explore, to discover, to create, and to live - to live again in what was bound to be a better world, in what couldn't be worse than what she had left behind. A smile formed on her lips. Yes, she was ready for a new world she thought.
