Imperial

Their enemy had crept in, a “visitor” from an uncharted place, with apparently no intentions of doing anyone any manner of physical harm. Steadily, though, their numbers increased, more populating the frequently warring nations. What appeared at first to be mere immigration later developed into domineering infestation.

General Fox looked over her books day after day, trying to understand theories, logic and now the added influence of imperialism. For centuries, Fox had been bred in a world where war reigned and peace was a rare jewel to be coveted. Every nation was constantly struggling with the other, whether it be for simple dominance or for actual gain. No one knew for sure anymore the wars had been going on for so long now. It was easy to corrupt a man’s mind to think of nothing less except fighting.

But when this unseen threat by the foreigners started to thieve away that which had previously eluded the country Fox claimed as home, action was taken to form alliances long dead from the earliest days of society. Fox herself had been chosen by her nation’s leader to represent her patria, the summit gathering at a place considered neutral ground.

The three leaders met cautiously at first, taking their time getting to know one another, but soon they were quick to bring up their situation at the table. Having never been invaded like they were by such a parasitical force, they each decided to set aside differences and work together as one to eradicate their foe. They didn’t know if their friendship would eventually become permanent or not, but for now it was solid enough and Fox was confident with her inner circle.

The idea of leading an imperialistic group of nations troubled Fox at first, but her two equals would have it no other way, claiming that after their conferences together that no individual was more fit to lead them all more than the good General. She disliked war and fighting, hence why she was so revered by her counterparts, though she knew she had obvious opposition back home for not being the military lion her predecessors were. Still, she accepted the role appropriated to her and sought to end this conflict with the enemy quickly.

Ironically enough, the two she had met with were former enemies themselves, each serving their due time in army life and excelling at it. General Superb was the tactician of the north, General Fox the sage of the south, and General U.H. came as the intermediating land between the two countries. Fox could not recall having fought against either force directly, but knew of their might and prowess from incessant studying of reports.

Both generals were tough and brilliant, two things she valued in an officer among other qualities. They, too, desired an end to the constant fighting amongst their nations, so were pliable to work with under the severe conditions now taking over their lands. Fox never imagined that such a dreadful occurrence of invading leeches would end up in unifying so many groups of people just to bring an end to the suffering. A terrible price to pay, but to end the manner of tyranny their enemy was exacting upon them, she was willing to handle the cost.
