Summary: Miranda introduces Pearl to bananas.

Miranda appeared in her apartment and picked up the fruit from the basket before disappearing into her other world. As she landed on the ground, she swayed back and forth.

"I think I shouldn't jump that quick."

Pearl shook her head, amused.

Miranda sat down in the nearest chair before holding out the fruit she had brought back from her world. "This is a banana," she said. "And it's the best fruit ever."

"This fruit, the best?" Pearl was still very sceptic at this idea. She had never heard of bananas before. Miranda had refused to believe her and instead of going to a market to buy one she had decided to jump off to her world to get one from her home arguing it would be quicker than going outside. "It doesn't look very impressive," commented Pearl.

"I guess not," admitted Miranda. "But don't be fooled by its appearance."

She threw the banana toward Pearl who caught it at the last minute. "Go ahead, taste it."

Pearl examined the fruit. It seemed strange to her, too hard and rough to be eaten. She was sure she was missing something. "Shouldn't it be... cooked?" She looked up at her friend. Miranda had sparks of laughter in her eyes and was obviously trying not to laugh out loud. "Cook it? Well... You certainly can but I thought before going into all the possibilities of the banana it would be best to just eat it like that."

Pearl ignored Miranda's teasing. "Alright... but isn't it too hard. I mean it doesn't feel very appealing."

Miranda shot to her feet and kissed the other woman on the cheek. "You know you can be very silly sometimes for such a resourceful person." Pearl stuck her tongue at her in protest.

"There, let me show you." Miranda grabbed the fruit from her hands. "You first need to peel it," she said starting demonstrating it. "Just like that." As the fruit was revealed she bit into it before handing it back to Pearl. "Now you taste it," she said as she swallowed the fruit.

"Okay," replied the dark haired woman, unsure of herself and then timidly bit into the fruit,taking only a small chunk of it. She started to chew it. As she swallowed her bite she exclaimed. "It's delicious!"

Miranda laughed gaily. "Didn't I told you it would be?"

Pearl nodded and started to eat the banana again, finishing it in rapidly. As she swallowed the last bit, she looked at Miranda which was observing her very amused and tenderly. She ignored her friend look and asked, "and you said it could be cooked as well?"

"Absolutely. Cake, bread, compote, smoothie, even with ham! Name it and I'm sure it can be done."

"What are we waiting for then. We have to go to the market," exclaimed Pearl. She grabbed Miranda's hand and started to lead her rushing towards the nearest market. Miranda laughed once more as she started to run behind her friend. She should introduce her to new food more often she thought as she pressed her hand harder against the one of her friend, not wanting to let go for even one second.
