Author's Notes: I really, really like this one. It was kinda crappy when I wrote it down in my notebook, but then I typed it up and re-wrote and I think it's GREAT now. I'm pretty proud of this one. *Grins*

A/N: Follows Hairbrush from last week.

A/N2: Although the ages have lent a variety of spins on the angels of heaven, this book was written based on the more common view that there are three hierarchies of angels, and within each hierarchy exists three choirs. The first choir of the first hierarchy are the seraphim, and among these is the angel Michael. The second choir of the third hierarchy are the archangels, given their lower status presumably because of their involvement in earthly matters. Of course, among the archangels is… Michael. There are many theologians who believe these two Michaels are one and the same, or rather, that some interventions among mankind are so important they can only be handled by the most trusted of servants. Thus, it would stand to reason the archangel Michael might also be the seraph Michael. For Seraphim Applorant, I have chosen to write as if this is the case.

Finally, regarding the title… given the nine orders of angels, there are many interpretations and translations available, but given my purpose, only one would do. Seraphim Applorant translates from the Latin to Angels Wept. And they did.
