Summary: Snapshots of some of Bianca's missions, personal and profesional.

Careful, she thought. Focus. She inhaled deeply, closing her eyes as air went into her lungs.

The doors of the lift opened at the same time as her eyes and she stepped out resolutely, her head held high and her gaze firmly planted on the door at the end of the long corridor. She couldn’t falter now. She had worked so hard to gain this position, she wasn’t about to crack in front of one of the Regency members. They were not special. She was. She had the power and they didn’t know. She grinned, her aura glowing with thousands of bright sparkles.

She knocked on the door. Her aura faded. The door opened.

“Bianca,” exclaimed the Guardian. “Welcome to South Africa. I trust your journey went well,” she continued as she extended her hand to Bianca in greeting.

“Very well.” Bianca caught the hand the familiar flow of poison running through her blood. The Guardian’s mind was under her control for the interview. “Thank you.”

---*---

Bianca rang the doorbell and waited, her arms crossed against her chest. This game was starting to feel too much like a boring routine. The door opened. She uncrossed her arms, extending her hand in greeting.

“Hello sir.”

The man shook her hand automatically. When you close this door, you will kill yourself.

“I’m Bianca from the London Agora.” The man dropped his hand.

“You mean from the security office?” He stepped backwards.

“Yes,” she walked in, brushing her fingers against the man’s arm. And you will forget all about me. “I’m here to brief you on your next visit to South Africa.”

The man closed the door. At the sound of the door clicking, Bianca had already disappeared into the kitchen.

The man stood still for a second before shrugging. He couldn't remember what he had come down for. He walked back towards the stairs. In the meantime, Bianca opened his fridge and helped herself to a glass of orange juice. She drank it slowly, waiting to hear the shot. As she washed the glass, the shot came. She carefully wiped the glass clean and tidied it away before going to the man’s office to retrieve the documents the Regency wanted destroyed.

---*---

She rang the doorbell and smoothed her jacket. She ran her fingers quickly through her hair before burying her hands in her pockets. This felt unfamiliar, she thought.

The door opened to reveal Jeroen. She opened her mouth to speak but no words came out. She had done her research and she knew very well that this man was only the shadow of who he had once been but she hadn’t expected to see such a broken man.

“What do you want,” snapped Jeroen.

The words anchored her back into the moment.

“I’m Bianca.” She got one hand out of her pocket and started to extend it but dropped it back against her side before it was fully out of her pocket. She did not want to cheat. “I want to help.” The words sounded strange to her ears.

Jeroen was starting to close the door. She advance her foot to block the door and let her aura burst into flames. “I can help.”

Jeroen looked at her for a long silent second before opening the door, letting her in.
