Prompt Notes: Inspiration for this chapter taken from
tamingthemuse prompt #345: Avulsion there are many definitions, and you can find them here in case you're curious, but I used this one: A type of amputation where the extremity is pulled off rather than cut off.
Notes: A Flock of Seagulls was a New Wave band from the 80's, known for the lead singer (an ex-hairdresser) who wore truly outrageous hairstyles. They had one huge hit single "I Ran (So Far Away)", and a few smaller releases after
that.
This is what the blade of a #15c scalpel looks like. These are disposable. In my mind (and my story), I'm pretty sure that Spike and Dru would have the old-fashioned type with metal handles.
