Hi, I left you three messages saying I couldn't take part this week because I was away, I just got back today. I heard nothing from you though. That's not very fair. Please can I just be put on hold and I will submit this week from week 14.

My apologies for not seeing your question. However, the purpose of the comm is to provide incentive for people to post every week despite everything else going on. It's why we try to give the maximum amount of time before closing prompts. I'm sorry your run ended, but it would be unfair and go against the comm's purpose to give you an extension.

I saw on the contact the mods page that you did allow someone to break up their time because they would be away. And if I was told you wouldn't allow me to do that before that would have been fine, but I wasn't.

Hi there. I just got back from a very long vacation and am just now getting caught up. First off I want to say I'm very sorry for the confusion, but for the run of this community "breaks" have never been allowed. That was the entire point of the community and the way I have always maintained the rules to be. I am aware one allowance was made, but that was a one time thing made by a single mod. If you had been told, as that person was, that it would be ok then we'd have no choice, as in the case you mentioned, but to allow it. But as you stated, you were not. Also if your problem had been a technical one that would also but a point of discussion. As far as I understand the community that's the only exception I know of that falls within the rules.

Again I'm sorry if you feel this is unfair because that is not our intention. Our intention is to be fair to all the people who HAVE maintained runs of over four years without exception. To allow some to have "outs" when so many who have come before have didn't have them I think is much more unfair to all in the community. I do hope you can understand this decision, but I will respect if you don't. We're just trying to be fair to all so I don't feel anymore exceptions can be made.

Thanks for getting back on this. That's ok, I do understand now. i was more miffed at not being told either way so couldnt do anything about it, but thank you for explaining it out and I hope i didnt cause any trouble.

It's a shame I didnt get to 30 weeks this time but I'll give it another go soon :)

:-) I am glad you understand and I'm sorry for the confusion! I really do hope you stick with it and get to Goddess and beyond. I will say if you end up hooked like some of us crazies on getting ALL the banners you're on your way since you have to stop runs each time to get the ones before Goddess. Back when I was playing I seriously drove myself crazy with 2 runs at the same time to get the 4yr and all the little ones. LOL

Once again I apologize for the confusion and lack of response you got. We're working on getting that all fixed up with better email forwarding. ;-) Thanks for your understanding! :-D
