Summary: Kurt is in New York, and so is someone else.
AN:I am Canadian, which will explain the appearance of "u"s in some words.
Thursday afternoon Kurt skipped class, a rarity for him even though being a university student it was a common practice. He bounded into Dawn’s dorm room, bouncing with an uncontainable energy, showing a shameless abandon, he looked like a weight had been lifted off his shoulders. Dawn was sitting on her bed doing her homework, crouched over her text books, a musty book from Giles and copies of the prophecy from Willow. Some of the pages were knocked off the bed onto the floor; Dawn lunged for some of the sheets that fell, knowing they contained some strange markings and odd symbols that would raise some questions with Kurt.
“What’s going on?” She asked as he stopped hopping and started jumping from foot to foot in front of her desk, which was crowded with pictures of her friends. The original Scoobies held places of honour along with pictures of her Mom; slowly pictures from her time at school, including some pictures with Kurt, were encroaching on the display. They number of pictures had increased to the point that there was no room to work at her desk, explaining why she was crouched over her work on her bed.
“Blaine is coming to visit!!” Kurt answered; his voice slightly higher from the anticipation and excitement.
“I finally get to meet the renowned Blaine. When does he get in?”
“I’m getting a cab to the airport in half an hour.”
“So, will I meet him or will you be hiding in your room this weekend?” Dawn replied with a smirk.
“Hey!” Kurt said, hitting her with a pillow. “We’ll hang out with you once, and we promised Rachel we’d spend some time with her. But... Malcolm is staying with a friend this weekend.” He said with a smirk that Dawn thought bordered on Spike-esque. “Also Blaine called this morning and said that one of his relatives was going to be in town this weekend and wanted to take us out to a fancy dinner tomorrow night.”
“When does he leave?”
“Monday, late afternoon. That should give us some time together this weekend.”
“Why don’t we do lunch tomorrow; the four of us and then you can barricade yourselves in your room until Monday.” Dawn answered sticking out her tongue.
Kurt looked down at his watch and jumped away from the desk; “I gotta go. Lunch sounds good we’ll talk tomorrow.”
“Night, have fun” Dawn sing-songed.
*******
For some reason, Kurt was nervous on his way to the airport. It had been almost three months since he saw Blaine; they talked all the time and Skyped a few times a week but they hadn’t been in the same room since Blaine said goodbye to him in his driveway in September. Kurt couldn’t wait to see him but at the same time he was anxious.
The cab pulled up to the airport, Kurt paid the driver and tried to find the signs that lead him to the domestic arrivals.
As Kurt turned the corner he heard his cellphone ding. It was a text from Blaine: ‘Got my bags. Can’t wait 2 c u!!!!<3’ Kurt had to smile to himself at this. He looked up and at the other side of the room he saw Blaine.
"Hi." Blaine said when he reached Kurt.
"Hi." he answered pulling him into a tight hug, both of them had giant smiles on their faces.
