Title: Even Feminists Get Old
Author: Lit Gal
Prompt: Argos
Fandom: None
Warnings: Oddness
Rated: Safe
The CI muse says she doesn't want to put Argos in there. Besides, this cranky, old woman kept butting her head in there.
Stupid as it sounds, I half expected to die that weekend. Of course, I didn't, but it would have fit in some weird, post-modern, Woody Allen sort of way.

How political symbology distorts your vision of the normal and everyday. But also, how very necessary it is to see those things, because without the insights they provide, and the energy of the believers, we'd still be relegated full time to the kitchen and the nursery.
This story is beautifully complex and has so many levels. It makes me sad and grateful and (thinking about Ethan and Darla) somewhat worried about the future. Very well done.

Date: 2007-06-03 04:51 pm (UTC)That was so damn sharp I feel like I could slice myself open on it. Lovely, glittering and scary as hell - just like the academic I imagine she once was in her life and still is in her head.
"Luckily for me, the universe isn't that tidy." Again I say....Ouch.
