I had a pretty blasé b'day, which is just fine by me. The Ps are motoring out from Chi-town tomorrow to fill me belly wiff birfday sushi. That's plenty of goings and doings to celebrate something I'm not in favor of in the first place. This whole 'getting older' business sucks.

I hope you enjoyed the sushi and the visit. But yeah, I know what you mean about the getting older thing. I've got one of those milestone birthday things coming up this year and I'm thinking how the hell did that happen. *g*

Tell me about it. If someone had told juvenile me that I'd make it to the the far side of 45 and actually enjoy raw fish so much I'd want it for my birthday meal -- no cake mind you -- I'd've looked at 'em like they were out of their ever-loving minds...and probably stomped off in disgust making icky faces. Yet here I am. *shrugs*

And yes, dinner was lovely. Knives were juggled, bits of food were launched from spatulas, none of them were caught, the sushi was good, the teppanyaki shrimp and scallops were even better, and the Ps were as amusing as ever. It was a good day.
