Summary: Meg isn't really Meg today, not more than the one before.
A/N: it's late, and it's hard to write in English that late.  Somewhere between my reading of Dracula and my current obsession for Supernatural, this thing came to life.  I highly doubt I gave an acurate description of anything related to mental issues and institutions.  It's just for the sake of that little vignette.  I'm not even sure I wrote anybody correctly, and especialy not Meg since I haven't seen any episode with her in English.  I'm so lazy sometimes.

"How are you today, Meg?"

The woman leans against the back of her chair, a small teasing smile on her lips. From the look, she isn't Meg today. Not exactly anyway.

"Not bad, I guess. Bored, though. Who do I need to fuck to get a couple of magazines ?"

She adds a suggestive eyebrow raise, and her smile grows more flirty. The delusion has taken over once again. He has yet to find out what triggers it. Is it something exterior, something she sees or hears, that makes the other go out? Or is it inside her head? Is it a memory, or something else?

"You know you're not allowed to access the library, Meg. Not after what you did to Barney."

She rolls her eyes and sighs deeply.

"How many times will I have to tell you this? He is not Barney anymore. Barney's gone. Crowley took over him, and if he's here, it's not to take a little vacation. He's up to no good, I can tell you. We need to put him down before he screws us all."

"That's why you knocked him out, then. To put him down. Do you think Crowley's gone, now?"

She looks at him, annoyed. She does that a lot, looking at him like she is explaining things he should know. It seems she has given him a role in her delusion, as well. So far he had been luckier than that poor Barney. She has only been looking annoyed at him. Tried to outrightly flirt with him once. Told him once or twice that his life had no value to her, or something like that. He doesn't now what to make of all that. He's afraid that asking questions about it would out him as not being part of the world she has created for herself, and that she would stop speaking to him so freely. He had made more progress with her in two weeks than Dr Singer in the past year.

"Of course not, featherbrain. You need to exorcize him to get rid of a demon. If Sam did his job as I told him, we're good. If not ... well, you'd better hurry before we're all doomed."

He writes something on his notepad. She raises an eyebrow.

"Need a post-it to remind you to get rid of the King of Hell, Clarence?"

It's not the first time she uses that name, but she has never given any explanation about it. Maybe it has some symbolic signification about the role she has given him. It is faint, but worth researching.

"If he is the King of Hell, shouldn't you be on his side?"

As soon as he has asked the question, he can tell it was a bad idea. Her smile disappears in a second, anger replacing the teasing spark in her eyes.

"I will never pledge allegiance to that son of a bitch", she spits out.

He can't get anything from her after that. She looks at him like he has betrayed her or something. Whatever role Crowley has in her delusion, she feels strongly about it, and not in a happy way. No wonder she has attacked Barney the day before.

When he sees he won't get anything more from her for today, he call for a nurse to take her back to her room. It's Sam Wesson who comes and picks her up. It's usually him who takes care of her. He seems to have a bigger part in her delusion than any other nurse.

"Dr Castiel!", another nurse calls him in the corridor, as the psychiatrist is turning back in his office. Dean Smith jogs a little to reach him. He is the one who's got Meg off Barney the day before. "Did she say why she attacked Barney?"

"Because he's possessed by the King of Hell, and she thinks he's here to arm us."

Dean raises his eyebrows.

"Awesome."
