Mod business
Sep. 17th, 2007 08:18 amA few announcements so gather around!
zippitgood suggested that we would start tagging the entries by author too. We mods liked the idea and will go through with it. I will start adding authors to the tagging list from today. It would be appreciated if you could go back and tag your own entries. We do realize that at least for some that means going through quite a few entries. If it gets really boring at work I might do some extra tagging *g*
Small edit: It seems I need to use the tag once to get it to show on the list as public and not just to me. I will try to go through some of the entries so that all the tags become visible
Other subject. There have been some questions about a standard subject line and now we thought we would go through with that too. Below you can see an example subject line
c_woodhaven came up with. This cannot really be done retroactively unless you want to go through all your own entries but could you please use this subject from now on?
Prompt# - PromptText - Title - Author - fandom
61 - Arctophile - My Love of Bears - c_woodhaven - Buffy
If you have any questions or comments they are more than welcome. We'll answer the best we can!

Date: 2007-09-17 05:50 am (UTC)Can we choose the name we are tagged by or do it ourselves? This is an issue for me because I want all my work tagged under the name "Catw00man" not "darkjeff_dv."

Date: 2007-09-17 05:58 am (UTC)Question: For the subject lines, if your story is part of a series, is it okay to substitute the series title for the fandom? I have a series that is a crossover of at least four different fandoms, and I really don't think you want me to list them all every time. Or would you rather series titles be excluded from the subject lines and just put in the headers instead?

Date: 2007-09-17 06:58 am (UTC)Just go to "File", "View History" and find your posts. You might have to click on each day to view the post for them though (at least I do). Once you've selected your post, click "edit" If you don't have it set up to edit in main window click on "View Post Options", the tagging spot is in there. Select your tag, click okay, click okay again on edit window and viola, that post is done. You can change the subject lines too.
Hope that helps anyone.

Date: 2007-09-17 01:13 pm (UTC)Unfortunately doesn't help me since Semagic is only for Windows, I think. I have Mac at home and on my work computer I can't install anything. I just have to do it the hard way *g*

Summary: from there and then it'd all be in one place and you don't have to go all over the place to find things you need to do to post an entry.
