A/N: This is an excerpt from chapter 21 (picking up almost exactly where the previous excerpt left off) of my NaNoWriMo novel entitled, “Perception/Distraction/Self/Other (or, Aliens Made Me Gay)”. Previous chapters are unavailable, except for the other excerpts on my journal. At this point in Audra’s story, she has embarked on a dream-quest to find and kill a dragon in order to harvest its blood. She has traveled to another world accompanied by her unicorn, Frederique, who is currently returning a group of abducted princesses to their homes. Now, Audra is continuing her journey alone until Frederique rejoins her.
