Champion's Surprise
Grand Ballroom, Waldorf-Astoria - November 30th, 2007
It's the night of the 2007 Nextel Cup banquet and I'm bored. I'm the Champion and I love we're the first since Jeff himself to have back to back Championships. But sitting under the glare of the spotlights while we eat dinner and wait through all the speeches isn't my idea of fun. Can't we just skip to the after party?
My cell phone vibrates during the break before I'm supposed to give my speech. Frown as I flip it open, caller id says it's from Junior. Isn't he supposed to be in Australia? Read his message: "Pay attention when you read your speech, JJ. -Junior."
Oh god, don't tell me he did something to screw up the speech I sent in. But that can't be right. NASCAR wouldn't allow that to happen even if it was Junior. Channy leans closer, having seen me with the cellphone out, and says, "Who was that?"
"Oh, just Junior congratulating me," I cover because I don't know what he means.
"That's sweet of him. He'll make you a good teammate." She smiles and pats my hand as I put the cell away. I'm sure he will. He's been eager to do everything he can. I wonder if the...other things will continue as well.
I wonder if Harvick knows or if this is my own personal torment. He'd get some thrill from knowing he has what I want. It's not like I don't love Channy, I do. It's the same way Kevin loves his wife, but it's not the same passion that flares up between him and Earnhardt.
It's time for us to go stand there while they bring out the ring and give Channy a matching bracelet. Still can't believe we're doing this two years in a row. Try to avoid looking at the teleprompter, almost afraid of what Junior's got planned. Step up to the podium as it's my time to thank everyone reflect on a year that's been more than I could ever imagine.
Nothing's out of place as I start my speech and I'm most of the way through before the doors of the landing beside the teleprompter fly open. It's a struggle to keep reading properly when my eyes are glued to the scene unfolding.
Doors open out into the hallway and, there, are Kevin and him. Hands all over each other, Junior pressed back against the wall as Kevin ravages him. What I'd give to know what he sounded like....
I'd love to be in Kevin's place right now. Screw the Championship speech as I catch glimpses of them, clothes falling undone as they seek skin.
I don't know how they haven't been caught. Either Junior's paid someone off or he's found the perfect spot to get what he wants. Shift behind the podium and thank god I'm staring at the teleprompter even as I'm watching them. Thank my guys and I have to take my eyes off the prompter to find my crew up in the balcony.
Thank my team and shit, Kevin's got Junior's arms pinned up against the wall, taking complete control. I can't believe them. Thank all the Hendrick employees, and oh.... Kevin's hauled him up against the wall, Junior's legs wrapped around his waist.
I know the instant Kevin enters him, it's the arch of his body away from the wall and against Kevin's, relishing the burn as much as the connection. The stutter-slide as they get adjusted. His arms still pinned above him as Kevin uses shifts to find better leverage. Hide a swallow when I take a breath to thank JJR and my foundation employees.
Oh god...Junior's writhing against him, body pressing against Kevin's again and again. Head tilted back, baring that pale neck of his, and mouth forming sinful words I'd give anything to hear. My only stumble, Ugs instead of U-G-S. This was supposed to be easier than last year. Channy's laughing at me, I know, everyone's laughing at me and I'm laughing with them as I try to keep my eyes away from the show being put on for me.
Go through the rest of my sponsors, Haas, Freightliner, GMAC, and my personal endorsement sponsors. They're close, they're so close. The way Kevin plunges into him, fast and hard, striving for that head rush of pleasure. Junior's head rolls to the side, eyes locking with mine across the expanse of the ballroom as Kevin suckles hungrily. Feel myself grow completely hard. The whole display winding me up and I know it's deliberate. This whole thing was put on deliberately for me. I don't know what game he's playing...I shouldn't want it.
I still got to thank Channy. Thank her for putting up with me and I honestly can't think of anyone else I'd want to share all this with. Except my thoughts and my gaze keep drifting toward the spot where I know my Championship is the last thing on their minds.
Pose for pictures with Channy as the formalities are finally over and we can go celebrate. I know she can feel me and I hope she thinks it's all for her. The confetti explodes across the stage and I glance once more toward Kevin and Junior in their little alcove.
Just in time to see them both slam together as they explode with release. A soft moan escapes me and I want to be there, I want to know what it feels like. Damn him, I'll be looking for the soonest possible moment I can get Channy alone the rest of the night and he'll be off to Australia with his buddies and Kevin.
I hope he enjoys himself. Maybe when he gets back, he'll stop tormenting me. A vacation should be the perfect distraction from whatever this thing that's happening between us.
