Question for the Mods
Apr. 17th, 2008 03:45 amHey guys...
I was looking at some of the comments in the post last week and I wanted to get a clarification for us so we all are on the same page if you don't mind. :)
From what I think I understand, please correct me if I'm wrong, the "official, official last posting time" is midnight US/Samoa is GMT -11 or like for me here in central time, 5am Sunday? Is this the correct very last cut off time?
Also I have one other question for me as well as others. If you are posting "late" what exactly is the etiquette for your posting time? I just ask because we can roll back the time to really anytime during the day to make it fit the criterion. Are we supposed to keep the time as our time? For example, say I posted late, should I have the post read 4am central, which is my time? Or should I roll it back 4 hours to read midnight?
Just wanting to be a little more clear on this so I know exactly what the standard should be.
Thanks so much.

Date: 2008-04-20 11:03 pm (UTC)You canNOT roll back the time for posting in a community. It's not physically possible, last time I checked. You CAN, however, change your personal settings to that time frame, which is absolutely and 100% legal.
Please know that the mods are keeping watch on all of this sweetie, so don't even worry about watching out for times; we take care of that. If anyone goes over, we discuss it amongst ourselves. So really, all you need to worry about is getting your own entry in, and let us mods do our modly thing and handle the rest. ^_^
I hope that clears up any future problems, so this won't be an issue anymore.

Date: 2008-04-21 01:56 am (UTC)Also I wanted to know how I needed to post if I ever did have an issue where I ran late. I think Lit_gal cleared that up though because I am familiar with how to change timezones.
Thanks for clearing this up for me guys. I didn't mean to be a pain. I just wanted to make sure I was clear on everything to prevent future confusion.
Have a great night!
