Clarification for the time-stamping.

tamingthemuseI just attempted to back-date this entry, just to be sure, and this is what I received:
Error updating journal: Can't make back-dated entries in non-personal journal.
It will not let you back up the time.
Now, the only way you can possibly do this is to change your time, your personal settings, and that's perfectly legal.
We mods DO watch to make sure everyone fits in the time frame. Please don't worry about it. Some of you seem to be very vigilant lately about this, and personally, I feel a little hurt that the mods aren't being trusted with this. We are the mods; we're watching out to make sure everyone is dealt with fairly.
We've made quite a few allowances over the past almost two years: we've allowed people to lock their journals and posts because of the personal nature of some of the fics, and we've allowed people to run two journals at once to earn the awards. We're here to help people, not penalize them every chance you get.
So please allow the mods to handle these issues, and have faith in the fact that we'll handle things as fairly as possible. We do a lot of work behind the scenes that most never see. We're very in touch with one another and resolve things quickly. If there's a real issue you feel we're not aware of, please let us know, but more than likely, we're aware of it.
It's a hard gig, working to post every single week, we know. So please don't worry about the comm or the people inside of it; save all your worry for yourself, and we'll handle the modly duties. We don't mind. ^_^
