Hello all,

I hope everyone had a fantastic day.

We're introducing a new feature here to allow you to contact the Mods. It's difficult with having multiple mods to receive questions and answer them in a timely manor because we all do mod posts. So what we've done is created another, shadow mod.

Any comments on posts made by this shadow mod will be forwarded to all of us, so we can answer things more quickly.

We're also going to try to start doing mod posts with this user account as well, and post a link to this post on the sidebar so you can contact us easily.

It's a new system, so there's bound to be some bumps with it, but hopefully it will make things easier in the long run.

Hello mods...

Sorry, I forgot y'all were using this post for us getting into contact with you. Anyway, with the end of another run for me coming up this week (I think) I had a couple questions for you if you don't mind.

First off I wanted to double check that last week, #178 Mischievous, was my 24th week for darkjeff_dv. I plan on stepping out this week for that award so I just wanted to make sure our counts were the same. Also, as a reminder since I know there are new mods, this name is my second run for banners, tagged "catw00man2" and as such I'd like the award to be made for "catw00man" not darkjeff_dv.

My other question has to do with the banners themselves. Several months ago on this post I commented with an offer to help with banners. I just wanted to let you guys know that offer still stands. Anyway, I bring this up because I noticed the new banners are not the same as the old banners. I don't know if this is a photoshop issue or something, but since I display all my banners on my profile I was hoping I'd be able to get one what matched all the ones that came before. I'd be more than happy to do this myself if I could get the base for the award and the font or the award psd if is indeed a photoshop file as I do have and use PS3.

I would ask that you please take this into consideration as I'm sure I'm not the only picky one who's been around a long time collecting these shinies. ;) If you need the assistance of someone with photoshop I'd be more than happy to offer a hand on the banner making.

*waves* Me again. I've tried putting the prompt # on this week's fic several times (in the tag) and it continues to not show up when it's posted. I've tried before my name, after my name, with comma, without comma...it just disappears. Ideas? Suggestions? Everyone else seems to have no problem getting it in their tags.

Let me get this straight. If for some reason I want only specific awards,

e.g. I decide I want Calliope, Clio, Melpomene, Terpsichore, Thalia, Certify Goddess,

I'd have to write three weeks, skip, start over, write six weeks, skip, start over, write fifteen weeks, skip, start over, write twenty one weeks, skip, start over, write twenty four weeks, skip, start over, then write thirty skip start over?

Then (going out on a limb) if I made Goddess, and wanted both options for say, thirty above Goddess, I'd have to cash in thirty weeks twice?

I just made my first entry, which is F-locked to my journal. I know others have done the same before, so I was wondering how this works. Is a mod needed to see my locked post to verify my submission?

Hello!

It would help if it was verified by a mod, yes. Posting it to the comm and locking it to the comm is the best way to get around that, if you don't want non-friends into your journal posts. If there are other members of Taming that are friends of yours that can verify the post being made, then that also works. Just let us know which one you feel the most comfortable with: we want you to have fun at the comm and not have your muse stifled in any way, shape, or form. Muses can be finicky little things like that. :)

I did look around to see if this was answered but couldn't see it. Apologies if I'm just being blind as a bat.

The prompt is up and it's a saying or quote - does this have to be included in the actual piece or can it be implied?

And secondly, I wondered if it was possible to snag the icon currently being used in your profile or if that's a special one for you guys only?

I know I didn't post the last two weeks, but I was on vacation and couldn't get a trustworthy wi-fi signal. Anyway, I completely understand that the award ended the week I quit posting, but I posted all three chapters tonight because I had written them and just wanted to keep the story straight. Hey, I'm so sorry to bother y'all with this, but I'm updating my page as part of my New Year's resolutions, and I was hoping to get my goddess banner up. I was awarded my goddess here, and the font had made it a bit tricky to read my name. There was an offer to change the font, but the new banner was never posted. Hello!

You aren't required to do anything. We usually tag your entry with an author tag when you post your first entry to the community. If you have already posted an entry and don't have a tag, we must have missed your entry somehow. If that's the case, would you mind pointing us to your entry so that we can tag it.

No need to send it to us. You either post it, or a link, to the community, which ever is up to you. Just remember to just an ljcut. And don't forget to tag it.

Hi there! So, I just discovered this community, and I have a question. Is it possible for someone to write both for the Goddess level as well for the smaller awards? (I'm assuming that if this is possible, two fics per week will be the requirement)

Yes you can! And you're on the right track. I actually collected all the preGoddess awards myself on my way to 4yrs. :-) The way we've worked this out is you would write 2 fics a week and post with 2 accounts. One would be your main account you'd be working toward Goddess and beyond with, and the other could be another account you either already have or create for this purpose. This is just for the mod's sanity. ;-)

With the early awards you would for example write 3 weeks, take a week off, write 6 weeks, take a week off etc until you collect them all. You would be working on the one for Goddess concurrently with these. If you want to see all the awards you can collect in one place, lol, I have them all on my profile.

Anyway, I hope this answers all your questions! :-D
