Previously in Revenge Can Be Sweet:

Buffy and Xander find out that Dawn blurted out the secret, though unintentionally. Willow asks them, alone with herself and Dawn, if they really meant to kiss. Also, it's working: Anya and Spike are totally jealous. Buffy and Xander try to bluff and blunder their way out of it, stating that a relationship could never happen. Willow doesn't exactly believe them, and neither does Buffy.
