Okay, I *think* I have the journal issues fixed. Hopefully both IE and Firefox people will see something similar this time (although IE was loading images slow. AND hopefully the colors are a little more pleasant without looking like either Barney or a 10 year old girl's room exploded (you know, all pinky-purply sweetness). Sorry if I made anyone dizzy with the spinning style changes.

Okay, we're pretty stable this week, even with the oddness around LJ. [livejournal.com profile] articulatedream and [livejournal.com profile] frk_werewolf left us without earning an award. However, [livejournal.com profile] shadow_in_eden and [livejournal.com profile] fan_spagle are both back, and [livejournal.com profile] sparrow2000 has joined us for the first time! Weeeee.

It's so incredibly cool that 18 weeks into this, the comm is still going strong! Writing every week really does challenge the muses, but we're getting them tamed!

Oh, yeah, that's really good. Purple is the color of the intellect so I don't think it's little girly. Yeah, I'm happy to be a member here. I already got the next one done but I'm saving it to put up later in the week since I don't have as much time for putting up fan fic right now.

Anyway, great job!

Agreed. Love the purple. Not overdone at all.

But then I'm all about the purple today. Anyone who wants to check out the draft of my new book cover that will be on its way to my publisher tomorrow courtesy of the cover artist (who is also my exceptionally talented sister) is welcome. I would love input/opinions. We've been unable to please her (the publisher) for months, and that's been the holdup on getting Vol. II of the The Histories out.

The post is in my journal here (http://swweeks.livejournal.com/13444.html).

If you have the time and interest, thanks so much!

There's so much about LJ I still don't get (technically, that is). I blame meredevachon... not really. :) Anyway, it's friends-locked, and for some reason, I thought anyone on this comm would be able to see. Wrong, I guess. Anyone who's friended me should be able to though... hmm.

Bummer.

I think, to see a friends locked entry, I have to be your friend, not just you, mine. You must be in control of your LJ, so only people you friend should be able to see a locked entry. *g*

But it was my understanding that, b/c the comm was friended, anyone on the comm could view anything I friend-locked. I do know that folks here have posted friends-locked pieces before we've all been able to read (even if I haven't friended them, I've been able to read the pieces). So, I thought it would work. Very frustrating (as one of my 4 yo characters said recently).

At any rate, the links are:

Front Cover (http://www.stephanieweeks.com/images/SAfrontsm.jpg)
Back Cover (http://www.stephanieweeks.com/images/SAbacksm.jpg)
The bit to the right on the back cover is the spine.

I'm more distressed over the not viewing aspect b/c I'm posting all the NANO bits that way as well. I'm going to have to figure this out now...

That makes sense. I'm afraid I'm a real LJ idiot about some of the technical stuff. Thanks.

I don't know much about LJ either. I've not tried any locking combinations yet - still too new the whole thing. But Litgal probably does know, so I'll believe her. When you work out the intricacies, I'd love to hear the conclusion *sits back and lets you do all the work* *g*

I like the front cover, thank you for showing me. It's atmospheric.
So, is this for publication, book shop publication, or is it an e-book (another thing I know nothing about)?

Hey Litgal

Yes, that works and it's really nice. No exploding teen-girl's room (Goodness, you should see what my brother has done for his daughter.....*shakes head in amazement*) this looks great!
