So apparently, when I thought I'd posted these, I hadn't done so. *hangs head* I'm so very sorry to everyone who's been very patiently waiting. I really truly thought I'd posted them!

Hello everyone! *waves*

It’s time for our July monthly challenge!

We are sorry this is a few days late but luckily there's still time to write since the deadline is again at the end of the month *g*

In celebration of Summer and vacation time the challenge is to write a 1000+ word story about something to do with Summer or vacation. This should be a complete story, rather than a part of a larger piece, however, it can be original or fan fiction.






Entries will need to be received by midnight 31 Jul. at GMT -12. We’ll issue a closed post as we do with the weekly prompts.

When you post your entry, please tag it for the challenge.

You do not have to be a regularly contributing member of the community to participate. This challenge is optional and open to everyone.

You are allowed to use the monthly challenge in conjunction with any of the weekly prompts this month as long as you follow all the requirements for both. So, for this month, you would:

• Include the weekly prompt in your story
• It would be a stand-alone, short story of 1000 words or more about something with summer or vacation
• It would be posted by the earlier of the two deadlines (midnight Saturday, or midnight on the 31st).
