Standards and Voting
Jul. 7th, 2006 07:57 amVoting: How to fairly rate each story. After all, the community members will decide whether or not a story meets our standards, so let's talk standards. First, standards does not mean taste. If an author writes a story you don't like, you don't like it, but you can still see whether the characters, plot, and grammar are correct.
Short version:
We don't use 1, 2, 3, or 4
5 is for a story we can't read/understand
6 is for a story with so many mistakes we can't focus on the story
7 is for a story with good basics, but with errors that need fixing
8 or 9 are for good stories
10 is for a perfect story

Okay, our first prompt. The deadline on this is a couple of days longer since I'm still setting up. Stories using this prompt will be due midnight on the 15th. Just join the community and post your story using the heading in the rules.
Remember, you can be creative in how you interpret that. Read the RULES before posting, and feel free to take any of these banners to announce to your flist that you're going to be taming that muse. Oh, and these are minimized so you can use them outside of LJ cuts without killing anyone on dial up.
