This week, our community was transformed by another fantastic prompt and at least this mod's opinion that I am glad we were not in the spotlight.  Some communities just can't seem to handle it.

Ah well.  No new friends to introduce this week, but we have had a few returning tamers: the amazing [livejournal.com profile] alethessa , the currently still new [livejournal.com profile] carlosiscute , and the neat [livejournal.com profile] nimoe .

We did lose [livejournal.com profile] thedawnbegun after one week and hope they will return soon!

It has also come to my attention that I missed an award and I found myself making the second goddess award for the zealous (sorry, there are so few z adjectives) [livejournal.com profile] zippitgood .  Please enjoy your award.  =)

Excitingly enough, there are actually two more identical awards to give out that have been delayed because of who wants to make them up.  Both [livejournal.com profile] authoressnebula (the amazing) and [livejournal.com profile] sunnyd_lite (the sensational) have both reached week 184.  Its fantastic they've been around so long and authoressnebula has offered to make the award since her name is so long.  So, I'm gonna go ahead and let that happen since she's got modly power here.

Well, I perceive that as the end of this week's tracking and I will see you guys soon enough!

Hello everyone! *waves*

It's time for our February monthly challenge!

Choose a cliche and then write a 1000+ word story including the cliche in your story. This should be a complete story, rather than a part of a larger piece, however, it can be original or fan fiction.

Entries will need to be received by midnight 28th Feb at GMT -12. We'll issue a closed post as we do with the weekly prompts.

When you post your entry, please tag it for the challenge.

You do not have to be a regularly contributing member of the community to participate. This challenge is optional and open to everyone.

You are allowed to use the monthly challenge in conjunction with any of the weekly prompts this month as long as you follow all the requirements for both. So, for this month, you would:
- Include the weekly prompt in your story
- It would be a stand-alone, a story of 1000 words or more including a cliche
- It would be posted by the earlier of the two deadlines (midnight Saturday, or midnight on the 28th).

Good luck everyone!

Title: Perception and Comfort
Author: tigerstriped86
Fandom/Pairing: MMPR; Billy/Jason
Rating: Mature

A/N: We all have those older fandoms we write for.  This is mine: The Mighty Morphin Power Rangers.  There.  I've said it and I refused to be embarrassed about it.
Prompt 185: Perceive (picture)

Summary: Jason is suffering and Billy happens to see him when in town for a conference.  Sometimes, the right kind of change really can be that simple.
