Prompt: #202 - Now Hatred Is By Far the Longest Pleasure for [livejournal.com profile] tamingthemuse
Spoilers: None.
Disclaimer: These are not my characters, and I lay no claim. No sue.

Killing his brother probably wasn't a good idea. Especially when his brother was currently driving the car at over sixty miles an hour, a car they were both traveling in.

Title: Love to Hate
Fandom: Original
Prompt: #202 - Now hatred is by far the longest pleasure
Warnings: Short mention of violent sex, one dropping of the f-bomb.
Rating: R (For talk of violence and death.)
Summary: Selene talks of hatred and her desire for vengeance.
Wordcount: 598 Short 'n sweet
Notes: Selene is a former a role-play character of mine who will one day have at least one novel written about her (urban fantasy/dark fantasy if you're curious). She's an assassin who loses everything when a rival crime boss kills her boss/lover, thus why she was the perfect choice for this prompt. That, and I just have a hell of a lot of fun writing for her. (Hi, I'm a newbie.)

(Love is such a fragile thing.)

Hello fellow muse tamers!

It's again time for the monthly challenge. Yes I know it's a day late, but ignore that.

Again trying something different. Feel free to tell me your thoughts about doing the prompts this way. Also if you have any other ideas about handling the monthly prompts, feel free to share.

Anyway, the prompt is the following

Write a 1000+ word story. This should be a complete story, rather than a part of a larger piece, however, it can be original or fan fiction. This time around we want you to pick your favorite poem and base your story on that.

Entries will need to be received by midnight 30th June at GMT -12. We'll issue a closed post as we do with the weekly prompts.

When you post your entry, please tag it for the challenge.

You do not have to be a regularly contributing member of the community to participate. This challenge is optional and open to everyone.

You are allowed to use the monthly challenge in conjunction with any of the weekly prompts this month as long as you follow all the requirements for both. So, for this month, you would:
- Include the weekly prompt in your story
- It would be a stand-alone, a story of 1000 words or more where a mysterious package arrives
- It would be posted by the earlier of the two deadlines (midnight Saturday, or midnight on the 3ist).
