Date: 2007-05-21 01:22 pm (UTC)Worrying to see Tim in London. But to be expected, I suppose, with Etienne being held there.
And interesting how the introduction of Declan, even slightly removed, showed Lucie how much Kincaid had been accepted.
Nice chapter, hon. So now I'll be just waiting and hoping nothing goes wrong next week, with the prompt or with the plan. *g*

Date: 2007-05-21 04:40 pm (UTC)This is a good chapter for Lucie insight if not for story mobility. The reintroduction of Tim and Declan are really the only big plot points. Next chapter gets us moving again; so, I do hope the prompt is good!
I've been looking forward, and I'm a little worried about how some of what's to come will be taken. So, we'll see. *frowns* I trust you'll tell me if I've gone too far off course.

Date: 2007-06-03 05:31 pm (UTC)As ever, it's the details which make this chapter. You've put so much more texture onto Lucie that I begin to feel that I know her much better. The pressure of having to be strong is such a situation is crippling and at least she can be honest with herself, if not with anyone else.
I'm kind of shocked that Sylivie knows about Xavier's feelings. I'm now speculating as to whether Xavier suspects that she knows. God this is going to get complicated.
Loved the little details about the dress and the sandcastle brooch and the reminder of St Malo (we've got lost driving around the one way system in St Malo's Intra Muros)
My heart is in my mouth with Tim being sighted and I can't wait to see what happens next. Good job I'm a week behind, so can go straight to the next chapter!

Date: 2007-06-03 07:45 pm (UTC)I'm glad you're coming to know Lucie better. That's important. Oh, this is only Chapter 2, right? There's time yet, but it is important. She's such a fixture (like Etienne's Aga, lol), but how essential. If she weren't there...

That happens in Part II (Sylvie's part) of the real SA on Kincaid's first trip to her home right after they learn the truth of Magi Sancti... and Kincaid has just learnt the truth of who she is. Etienne tells her. I just posted it, easier that way, here (http://swweeks.livejournal.com/58828.html).
Isn't St Malo wonderful? I can still smell the air...
Okay, on to your other comment (these are wonderful!). Good to have you back. *g*
