Title : My heart will go on
Rating : PG
Word Count : 540
Prompt 414 : Capsize
Summary : what do you do after THE episode?
A/N: I don't know. I saw the prompt's french translation and all I could think about was my will to sink with the megstiel ship if needed be. So well, here's a stupid fangirl story.
"There it goes", Judy sighed as she closed the streaming window on her computer desktop.
She wasn't going to cry. She had already cried enough during the episode itself.
She should have known, a days ago, when she had begun shipping that particular pairing, that it wouldn't last ; it was too perfect for her, who never had any main ship actually becoming canon, and too much of a nuisance for the writers and the fandom alike to keep it going. Too bad, because it had so much potential.
She turned Skipe on and wrote a melancholic yet cryptic new status. It didn't took long for her friend Madison to pick up what was going on and to write her the million-dollar question :
>>Saw THE episode, right?<<
>>Yes, I've just did. Why didn't you warn me? I whouldn't have gotten my hopes up that much.<<
>>Didn't want to spoil the fun for you.<<
And she was right. Maybe her OTP hadn't become canon, but it had been a fun ride while it has lasted, and she was happy she had been able to enjoy it like she had been watching the show during it's first airing.
>>Still. What am I gonna do know?<<
She would keep watching the show, that was for sure. As much as she had taken an interest in her ship, it didn't outgrown the overall plot and her liking the main characters. She still wanted to know what would happen next, what the writers had still to tell about the story. And maybe she would keep hoping. Who knew? What was the point in watching sci-fi and fantasy shows if it wasn't for the hope of seeing characters coming back? Maybe now one half of her pairing was "dead", but it didn't mean it was permanent. Nothing was permanent, those days, and she counted on that.
>>Maybe you should browse the Internet. The fandom is pretty creative.<<
Now, that was an idea. She didn't really got into fandom before, but now, she had a good reason for joining the Internet party, if only because she would find like-minded people with whom cry over the loss of their favorite pairing. Madison had introduced her to the show, but she knew for a fact that they didn't share the same interests in pairing. Having other people to talk to would be a lot of fun.
>>But, just so you know, it's not exactly a popular pairing. I think it was in the Rare Pairing Fest last year.<<
Well, yes, of course. She had never been into popular pairing anyway, or so it seemed. Maybe it was for the better. Popular pairings tended to become nasty over time, and she didn't want to end in a ship war. It took all the fun in shipping characters.
>>That's okay. As long as there is *something*.<<
She'd just needed some kind of support group, anyway. For now at least. Then, maybe, in a few weeks, she would come and make the fan material larger.
>>Don't worry, there is. Ever heard of Tumblr?<<
Oh yes, that was going to be so much fun. The ship may have sunk in canon, but it still sailed in the heart of dozens of fans.
