Title: Losing Faith
Fandom: Original
Prompt: semper fidelis
Warnings: None
Rating: PG-13
Summary: Sometimes you have to consider the impossible

Okay, it was a hard prompt, and the rerun awards sucked up my time, so I hope this one doesn't read too rough.

BAD NEWS:  I remove original fiction after the week is up.
GOOD NEWS: I got this one published.

O-kay. Wow. So unexpected - leaves me wondering if she had been poisoning him, except I think she's too smart to do something which could be traced. She just chose to take action through inaction, when the opportunity presented itself. Made me grin, made we sad - that people can become so hardened to each other. In a totally horrid way, this was very nice.

btw - I think you might be missing a word here: "Everyone things about certain things," he said, evasively. Funny, normally spoke far more directly.?

Wow. Very Margaret Atwood. Doesn't matter 'how' or 'what' she did or had been doing; Maggie managed what she wanted in the end.

Fabulous little fic!

*grin* That was great - I loved how she continued on her point when he was complaining about his chest. Very evil in a real-life way. I like how Maggie is kindda crazy, or is that zealous in her beliefs? Nah, I think they're interchangeable. Well done!

Ooh, a little touch of humor that devolves into a creepy kind of reality because I can see that happening (read too many books on sociopathy). It's really subtle on getting to Maggie's final betrayal (I'm thinking there was some poisoning of some sort if he kept getting heartburn after following doctor's advice). I did figure out where it was going when Frank said he complained about it getting worse. The quick sentences of what they're doing was nice to develop their interests and conflict.

Heee! I love it. I mean, first off, you can never go wrong opening with penguins, especially gay ones!

And second, it was just so brilliantly devious!

I love Maggie. I hope she gets away with it.
