Title: Life with the Slayer (As Told By Mr. Pointy)
Author: [livejournal.com profile] blue_icy_rose
Rating: PG
Word Count: 1,164
Spoilers: BTVS - season 2-7, SPN - season 4
Warnings: Crack. No, really.
Summary: Mr. Pointy has been there for quite a few of the major events in Buffy's life from the aftermath of Angelus to the latest insanity of the Winchesters.
Disclaimer: I own nothing but DVDs, okay? Joss Whedon and Eric Kripke own everything else, damn it.
Notes: I think this might be the crackiest...or the weirdest...thing I've written yet. Written for [livejournal.com profile] tamingthemuse - both for this week's prompt and for the September challenge of writing from the POV of an inanimate object. Once I saw that, I couldn't resist this. No dialogue sadly but maybe next time - I'm getting back in the mood for writing some Buffy/Dean!

Hello again! Here I am with the monthly prompt for September. It's still the 1st in most countries of the world so I'm not even late this time around. *g*

This time your monthly prompt task is to:

Write a 1000+ word story. This should be a complete story, rather than a part of a larger piece, however, it can be original or fan fiction. This time around I want you to write the story from the point of view of an inanimate object. Otherwise you have free reign.

Entries will need to be received by midnight 30th September at GMT -12. We'll issue a closed post as we do with the weekly prompts.

When you post your entry, please tag it for the challenge.

You do not have to be a regularly contributing member of the community to participate. This challenge is optional and open to everyone.

You are allowed to use the monthly challenge in conjunction with any of the weekly prompts this month as long as you follow all the requirements for both. So, for this month, you would:
- Include the weekly prompt in your story
- It would be a stand-alone, a story of 1000 words or more from the POV of an inanimate object
- It would be posted by the earlier of the two deadlines (midnight Saturday, or midnight on the 30th).
