How to Win Awards
Warning... large graphics included!

Step One
Pick your award.  Yep, you read that right.  You decide how many weeks to play.

Step Two:
Post a story that fits the prompt each week. Remember, the story will only qualify if the community members rate the story as a "7" or better in each of the three categories: plot, character, and grammar.

Step Three:
At the end of the week, I'll post a poll where you can vote on each story.  For guidelines on voting, see This Post.
Step Four:
The first week you fail to post a story or that your story is rated lower than a "7", I'll post any awards that you may have earned.

Examples:

Mary wants the Melpomene Award. She posts a story each week for 15 weeks. On week 16, she doesn't post a story. By week 17, she'll have her Melpomene Award.

Kelly wants a Terpsichore Award.  She posts every week, but on week 19, her story gets rated a "6" in grammar. Her run is over.  By week 18, I'll post a Polyhymnia Award, and she starts over again.

Jessie is insane and wants them all.  Oi.  She posts three stories and then skips week 4.  By week five, I post a Calliope Award for her.  She starts over again, and must post at least 6 stories before taking another week off and then I'll post a Clio Award for her.

Yep, every time you miss a week, you start over at ONE!

Calliope Award - 3 consecutive weeks

Clio Award - 6 consecutive weeks

Erato Award - 9 consecutive weeks

Euterpe Award - 12 consecutive weeks

Melpomene Award - 15 consecutive weeks

Polyhymnia Award - 18 consecutive weeks

Terpsichore Award - 21 consecutive weeks

Thalia Award - 24 consecutive weeks

Urania Award - 27 consecutive weeks

Goddess Award - 30 consecutive weeks

Online fandom newbie...came online in 2011 and just now found this comm. The previous comment is from 2010, so I am wondering about the activity level on this comm.

Yays! I'll be watching for my time to start! (After the holidays, 'cause right now I'm all about writing fic for my fandom's Seekrit Santa.) Is it okay for me to use a "taming the muse" icon before I start writing for your comm? They are awesome (and good for comm-pimping...that's how I learned of this comm's existence.)
